I was browsing ebay and came across this thing, couldn't find much about Sun apart from they were made in Worksop and were bought by Raleigh in the 60's. Interesting.
Picked it up sight unseen, and the fella selling it told me he bought it in '57 or thereabouts - and although the ebay pics made it look like it was a bit of a wreck, it's just dirt...lots and lots of dirt - check the perfect chrome under the filth on the rim. It's touring geometry as far as i can tell, fairly light for what it is, nice simplex 5-speed mech, original Wright's saddle, headset's a bit crunchy but bar that, it's a cracker. Check the headbadge! It's had a respray and a decal bodge, so first job is strip it back and then get everything polished.
