A loud animallistic yell usually gets them moving. The worst I've found is pedastrian crossings where I'll have the right of way - zooming along at 40kph they never seem to notice you. Its as if they expect you to slow down to avoid them.

I think peds should have to pass some kind of road awareness test before being let loose on the streets.
