I just got back from doing this ride. I did the metric and the first 24 miles were really bad, there was a very dense fog and it seemed like I spent most of the time riding with one hand so I could wipe off my glasses with the other. Crossing Rt 15 in the fog was interesting, you just looked for the dim car headlights before trying to cross and hope no one was out driving without their headlights.
After the fog lifted, just as we entered PA, the ride was great. The rest stops had lots of food from fruit to sweets and even indoor plumbing at one firehouse. Riding through Gettysburg was nice and one day I'd like to go back on my own with my bike and tour the whole battlefield.
Now I just have to wait and see what the weather is like next weekend and decide if I want to do the Three Creek Century.
