I just rode a 2007 Pista (at King's bicycles in Seal Beach, my new favorite bike shop) on a lark. The new rims are supposedly a little nicer than last year's (still Alex but a higher end model).

I LOVED it. Now, I can't compare it to other track bikes, just the conversions I've ridden, but it fit me perfectly (5'8", 31" inseam, rocked the 51cm Pista). My impressions are that it's quick without being squirrelly, it feels light and fast, and comes with a fairly comfortable seat that even has a stripe of leopard skin down the valley in the middle.

I went in to buy a skewer and came out with the urge to scrap all my conversions and get a Pista.
