Bikes: Nashbar X-Cross 29r wheels front disc brake

I have only used one set of clipless pedals, Crank Bros. Mallet SE. I commute 22 miles a day on my mtb very low end bike. They are a platform pedal with the eggbeater. They work very well for me, though now, I wish I didn't have the platform. For some reason, the Mallets are cheaper than the nonplatform Eggbeaters. This may be marketing to entice first timers to clipless. It worked on me. I skipped right over the Crank Bros. Candy pedals because they are plastic platforms.

I also have a set of ubercheap Walmart Bell plastic pedals that I used for several months that never hinted at failure, they just were too small . They are still in the inventory if I ever need them.
