Bike VS/ wheel selection

I have been researching a new commuter for a little while. So on my short list I have the Trek Portland, & Schwinn World DBX. Disk brakes are a must for me. I want the caliper inside the rear triangle for easy rack mounting.

The Portland is the one I really want but due to the price I am trying to find other options. The World looks good overall due to price and drivetrain. However the wheels and hubs are a unknown. I can't find any information on them to satisfy my question of durability and reliablity. Anyone use the 'Jalco DRX2000' rims and 'Joy Tech sealed bearing disc'?

In addition to the question above, what is your opinion on these two bikes? Is there other disk brake bikes with the caliper inside the rear triangle? (I know about the Lemond Poprad Disk and figure the Portland is better between the two. Feel free to tell me differently, though)

So thank you BF members for the help in advance.
