yeah spokes and spoke tension is very important I personally like dt or wheelsmith spokes brass nipples and nothing skinnier than 14g and if you ask for it you can get butted 12 and 10 gauge spokes but those are insane

I am 6'4" i ride 36h 3x or 4x I ride them on the street and hard oh and I weigh about 230#
