That's fine and dandy, but unless you're used to riding on ultra-light wheels all the time (which would be dumb to train on) and going up mega-steep grades with lots of accelerations, you're not going to notice the difference.

For example, I have the stock Race Lite wheels that came on my bike, which are around 1,700 grams. I currently have Race Lite Hardcase tires, which are 320 grams each, 100 grams heavier for each tire than the stock Race X Lite tires I had (and no, I can't tell a difference with the added weight). Going to Zipp 404 clinchers would save a very insignificant amount of weight, but the aerodynamic benefit would be much greater....unless of course you're doing the Mt. Washington hillclimb or something like that.

I dunno....I'm not so much on the whole weight weenie bandwagon anymore. It just doesn't really make that much of a difference, but it sure is fun!
