We've been over this before. It depends on the bike I'm riding:
CF road bike: I only acknowledge other roadies with a secret sign.
Italian steel road bike: I only acknowledge other roadies on Columbus tubes and Campy groups. "Ciao!"
Tri bike: I acknowledge no one. I'm too focused on my own suffering.
mtb/commuter/utility bike: I wave like a waving fool. Especially if I'm towing the kids in the trailer and you are driving a firetruck. (My kids love firetrucks.)
