Carbon forks and me have never gotten along. If you're going the urban bomber route then the Surly is probably your best bet...if you use your head you could easily pretty much build what you want with a Knuckle, Milwaukee, Soma,or IRO....yeah you may not have a bling/king headset or Dura Ace but it can be done.
