I used the R700 on an commuter bike with 6600 Ultegra components. I logged about 700 miles at this point. The shifting is very smooth and feels slightly stiffer than the 6600 ultegra cranks on the uphill, out of the saddle sprint. One thing I do like about these cranks is the attractive profile with the big chain ring resembling the DA 53 ring minus the gloss finish. Over all, I give these cranks a 9.5/10 with all considerations: price, look, quality, and durability.

I said go for it. Kudos to Shimano for these cranks. Lastly, these come in a size 165. My girlfriend who is 5'3" loves her R700.
