This morning was magic.
It was a damp cool 14 C day with thundershowers earlier
that were so bad that the sky looked like it was late evening
at 9 in the morning. I waited until 10:30 so that the worst
of it was over and the rain had stopped and packed my
pannier with extra clothes and wore water resistant clothes.

I had found a beautiful route along the Ottawa river parkway
that takes me by the historic locks and behind our parliament
buildings and hosts of other landmarks, but it was the misty
air and feeling of looming autumn that really made me feel
great. My fenders installed two weeks ago finally got a chance
to do their work, keeping the rain off of my back and legs -
everything felt like it was just working great, wished it was
a longer ride...
