I'm about the same as you (182cm, 89.5cm inseam), and I just got rid of a 55.6cm top-tube bike because it was too small. I have a 56 that i can't tollerate for non-hammering commutes, but my 'good' bikes are 56.5, 57.5 and two 58s

many people overlook head tube length, and a 54 might have a head tube as small as 120mm or 130mm, so you'd be bending WAY over, or using heaps of spacers, which looks uncool
