I have an '04 Reno that has served me very well. I'm about 6' 1" and ride a 57. I bought it in 2005 and got a good deal because it was the previous year's model. Changing the stock 700x25 tires to 700x23 made a nice difference in handling, the bike felt more responsive after the change. I have also replaced the wheels (velocity aerohead / ultegra hubs), sadlle (fizik arione), pedals (look keo) and recently the brake pads (kool stop). However, except for the tires, I would consider all of those more tinkering upgrades than necessity. It's a very good bike for the money and if it fits you as well as mine has fit me for the past 1,000 + miles you will be very happy.
