+1 on the color thing. My wife has a nice Klein that she's had for about 4 years, but still talks about how pretty it is. It's got this shimmering effect that changes colors depending on the angle from which you view it. My wife's a good rider, does tri sprints, etc. But she still focuses on how "pretty" the bike is.

Not that this applies only to women. From the posts on here, a lot of the men seem really concerned about color schemes too! Even men who ask poll questions about which color bike he should buy. If he was asking the same question about shoes, he'd probably get punched in the mouth.

And don't go to the LBS to get her sized only to buy online.
