make it a challenge to yourself. if someone drives you crazy, be the bigger person and refuse to engage with them. ultimately that is much more satisfying and less stressful than fighting with them.

i still argue with people sometimes, but i've realized that most people who start fights on the internet are doing it because of a personality deficiency, not because of dedication to a principle. now that i know that, i don't engage with them so much, and i feel a lot better. it's really hard to ignore shameless baiting, though. if you have to say something, try to make it something to defuse the situation, so the only thing they can say will be nothing at all, or something that says very clearly "i'm an instigator."

using "ignore" functions is a band-aid for a bigger problem. it probably won't make you feel any better!
