I'm not sure which Easton post you have, but I went from an EC70 to the Thomson setback precisely because with the Easton my saddle was too far back. By eye, the Easton setback is about 1.5"... and the Thomson is about .75" Roughly half way between the easton and a zero-setback post. If you're all the way back on the Easton, I think you'll find the Thomson is too far forward for you.
