but the food is, holy crap, REALLY good.
I've been to SD about a dozen times in the last four years. Even taught at UCSD for a semester. Spend some time in North Park. Thursday nights are good at Shooterz. Every other Sunday, there's Hip Hop Karaoke at Landlord Jims, 25th and Broadway I think. The Zombie Lounge is cool, The Casbah is cool, and the Tower Bar is just about the most fun you'll ever have on a Monday night. You can find a party just about any other day of the week. Ohhhh but if you hate the hipsters, stay the feck outta San Diego.
