Moab trip was great!

Well for labor day me and my dad headed down to moab to try some trails, we underestimated how long it would take us so we only did the slickrock, but it was AWSOME!

I had my Raleigh m80 disc and my dad had his gary fisher (not sure exactly what model or anything). While I was doing the practice loop part of the trail I was having some major gear popping in my rear casset. But, another biker came back a bit and helped me out, which was awsome. Anywhoo, now the main part of the ride.

It started well untill I had my first huge crash. We got to a point where their was a huge rock that you had to go up (most peolple where walking up) and their where a few people at the base watching attempts to reach the summit. I said I'll give it a where not even thinking about the crash with my new clipless pedals. I get about 3/4ths of the way up when my back tire completely looses traction and I stop dead, I tried to unclip but it did'nt happen and I came flying down leavin big patches of skin on the rocks. Got up, dusted myself off and continued on the trail. Only thing that went through my had after I got up was a quote from someones sig here "if you are'nt bleedin, you aren't tyring hard enough".

The rest of the trail went well and went by waaay to fast, I'd glance down at my comp and notice another 2 miles have gone. It was just to fun, every 50 feet their'd be another monsterous climb or some crazy stunts to do. I'm so glad I had my clipless because some of those hills would be almost impossible without them.

All in all it was a fantastic trip and I can't wait to go again, if you haven't been I highly recommend it. Just bring water LOTS of water, even with my full camel back, 4 bottles of water and 3 gatorades we ran out a quarter mile before we got back, just berly made it.

Heres a few pics from the trip.

This one is near a huge dropoff which was extremely un-nerving with clipless
