I cycled in this morning in almost complete darkness due no doubt to the heavy rainclouds overhead.

Still I suppose the clocks go back in a week or so so that will give us a bit more light in the morning for a week or two but also means it will be darker at night
It wasn't exactly pitch-black for me (living a few hundred miles south) but I needed lights all the way.

The chain decided it prefered the bottom-bracket to the gear I was trying to change down to just at the point the rain started , four miles from home, nine miles from work. I still had a smile on my face as I cycled in though!

I've only tried cycling home as well as in the once, to be honest cycling a moderately hilly 14 miles in the morning is enough for me at the moment. I'm up to three times a week, hopefully four from next week, probably both ways from the spring.

Keep smiling Richard
