Thats gay. Just whine and complain and cry and throw big fits about it until they let you. And for the colour, do a fade thing like black into lime green or some other bright colour. My old frame was black into neon orange. Although the fadingness wasn't the best, only the headtube and about 4 or 5 inchest past was black.
