Please don't play dumb with us.

Surely you understand the difference between the role and influence of an instruction given immediately before a 3 minute task, and the role and influence of an "instruction" to follow for the remainder of your life.

People don't decide what's important to look for while driving based on what they were told in a class 20 years ago, what the "falling rocks" sign says they just passed without incident for the 5007th time, or what some PSA said.

People decide what's important to look for based on their own personal experience, period. We're wired in our DNA to do that. It's not a choice. It's a subconscious process.
