Not to belabor the point for what's done is done, but regardless if the bike was a replica or not, the fact is Serotta made that bike as a replica.
Do you think many 1969 Camaro Indy pace car replicas (I call them replicas for they never paced the pack and were just offered as a replica to consumers) are repainted a custom color?
