Drag, mine "did" come with the red rim tape, which I think is crap, so the first thing I did was take it off. After reading a bunch of threads here and on other forums, I think there may have been some Race's that were mislabeled as Aero Comp's. The reason I say that, is I have seen verified weights on one users Aero Comp's that matched the spec on the Aero's. Mine are clearly 100 grams heavier. But once again, at $229 - I think they're a great deal for a relatively light deep section wheelset.
