Here in the northeast, it's not so much the temps that are particularly annoying....it's the fact that they dump 10 million pounds of sand on the roads, making it fairly dangerous to ride on. Combine that with ice and the remnants of snow here and there....and a bike trainer is a must if you plan to pedal year 'round.

The coldest I've ridden in is 11 degree standing air temps. Starts getting a bit nippy below 20-25 degrees F.
