PB: You've just come up with a grand idea! Why the folks here at BF 50+ could quite easily do a TV show on bicycle extreme makeovers. Just think, we'd go into the garages, sheds, and basements of people all over the land, and help them revive their neglected, dusty, rusty old rides! Why, we could take a Schwinn Varsity, help it lose 10 lbs or so, put on new 20 spoke wheels, and index shifting, and carbon handlebars, and a carbon seat post, and dual pivot brakes, and.... Or, we could go with a more New England based theme and call it This Old Bike. I'm starting to get excited about the possibilities. OK, I now know what I want for Christmas - a meeting with a few Hollywood producer types to pitch this idea, and then a meeting with several bike component manufactures to seek sponsorships! Yeah, that's the ticket - a new career in TV, doing makeovers on bicycles.
I think I'll have my person call yours and set up a meeting!
