I've seen hypnotists at work. He or she would probably take your weakness, doughnuts or whatever, and have you get sick to your stomach everytime you smell a doughnut. So you won't get hypnotized to loose weight per say, but rather something more specific. (One very funny example at this performance I saw, a man was hypnotized so that his legs would turn to Jello fpr 2 seconds and he'd fall over everytime he heard "Chicago.") At least that's how I've seen it done.

Now not everyone can get into the spell. It works for some and not for others. The hypnotist I saw would call 20 volunteers from the audience. But the audience could go along too. Some people on stage weren't under the spell, so that went back to their seats, but some people in the audience were hypnotized. I didn't get hypnotized even though I tried to be.

But do you think that getting doughnuts out of your diet completly is the answer? Moderation does not work?

How many doughnuts are you eating per day/week?
