The whole hypnosis thing, if done correctly can be quite
helpful. I doubt a good hypnotist would have you get sick
every time you smelled a doughnut. They would however
give you a suggestion similiar to having to protect your body and
that Doughnuts are not good for your body, and a trigger for
that thought, and YOU would be in control of the trigger.
It isn't the "you are a duck" kind of hype, not if done correctly and
by a competent hypnotist. I used to work with a shrink who used
hypnosis on psych patients to surprizingly good results.
If you are going to do the hpnosis route, make sure you find
a reputable hypnotist.
How bout this, you take some alternative snack in with you,
one that both satisfies and is a bit more healthy for you
(fruit, veggies etc.) (this said as I sit here chowing down on
biltong). When the urge/desire/need strikes you eat the
alternative.
