Should've stuck with Tubular Clinchers

I switched my training bike back over to clinchers to save on cost or replacing the tires and to save myself the extra weight of carrying a full tire on the back of the bike, and I figured for longer rides it would be better to have a few tubes instead of just one spare tire, now I only have tubular clinchers on my race bike. Well, first ride today on my new Vittoria Rubino Pro tires, 2hrs into my ride while raining hard my rear tire flats on me after going down some rough rodes. I was nice and warm up to this point but having to stop and change the flat got me cold and it was a cold 2hrs ride back home.

Lesson learned...guess I should have stuck with the tubular clinchers.
