Well, you can't get any better testimonial for running a brake than that. It also brings to mind a couple of things. Riding fixed isn't like riding any other way--even though it's elemental and beautifully simple, it puts more demands on the bike and rider than any other type of cycling. On these forums you hear lots of phrases like "Suicide Hubs" "Converting my old beater" "Stripped old hub" "I guess the loktite (sp?) didn't hold"
Pretty scary when you think about what can happen in a split second on a sunny afternoon.
Just an observation and not a reflection on you BitPart but Riding junk is a quick way to get yourself torn up but good.
As for Will's shop, I know tons of people who have rode away happy. But the forums are a great way for a retailer/mfr to stay in touch with his audience and answer hard questions to make his business better.
Glad you two kissed and made up, it was making me uncomfortable.
