I use a pair of cannondale full fingered gloves for all my riding (except winter) and they have held up well for 3 years now. I have a pair of gore-tex lobster style shell gloves that I wear over them in the rain. The shell gloves are at least 6 years old and a little worn, but they are still fully functional.

I can't imagine wearing through a pair of gloves in a month - did they come apart at the seems or did you actually wear through the fabric???
