They are effective at increasing your visibility at night - especially your hand signals. They fit on over your regular cycling gloves (or wear them by themselves) and have a bit of padding. They cost $25CDN/pr and although I would buy another pair if I lost/wore out these ones I think a more reasonable price would be $15CDN - but I'd rather be safe than $10 richer!
