I've done this before. You can get some oven cleaner (the hardcore **** with Lye in it). Soak them in that for a few minutes. This will remove the anodizing. Then give them a quick wipe down with some Simple Green. Find yourself a good buffing wheel and get some fine jewelers polishing compound. Start polishing. It will take a long time to get a nice even finish like the pic above, but it's sort of fun. I guess.
