EDIT: but don't deal with the sidepath... just tell me why it is OK to slow down motorists, but not cyclists (if slowed by peds) in this parallel situation.
Or better yet, compare and contrast the 101 situation to hiway 56 and the sidepath there... should we all be riding on 56 instead of using that sidepath?
