Louis Garneau Ergo Air, currently on sale for $25 at
www.perfomance.com. They have more padding than the Pearl Izumi. Seem to last pretty well but after a year-and-a-half of hard use, the padding is less resilient. I wore them on 2000+ miles of brevets this year, including BMB. I did try out a pair of Spenco Ironman gloves, and the padding on those is so thick and has such sharply defined edges that I can't ride them for more than a century. And they're disentegrating after only a few months (now where's that dang receipt, so I can return them ...)
