Bikes: SOMA Grand Randonneur, Gunnar Sport converted to 650B, Rivendell Rambouillet, '82 Trek 728, '84 Trek 610, '85 Trek 500, C'Dale F600, Burley Duet, Lotus Legend

Louis Garneau Ergo Air, currently on sale for $25 at www.perfomance.com. They have more padding than the Pearl Izumi. Seem to last pretty well but after a year-and-a-half of hard use, the padding is less resilient. I wore them on 2000+ miles of brevets this year, including BMB. I did try out a pair of Spenco Ironman gloves, and the padding on those is so thick and has such sharply defined edges that I can't ride them for more than a century. And they're disentegrating after only a few months (now where's that dang receipt, so I can return them ...)
