7 min mile is only around 8.5mph. That means 12.75ft/sec.
All you need is a light good enough to project about 25-35ft for a good 3 sec of warning.

Riding at 50ft/sec, on the other hand, requires a beam that not only throws 150ft, but also wide enough to light up the road and any hazards around it.
