Hip, I think if you get a C'dale you will be happy but in a year be discontent..... After reading your posts over the year, I see you on a more exotic frame. I would try Scott... I don't really see too many of those on the road (unlike Cerevlo, Cannondale, Trek, Giant and some other brands).

Have you decided what groupo you want? Shimano/Campy?..... IF you are going campy I would prolly go with an Italian frame (not convention talking but just OCP). In which case I personally would go with Moser or Viner.

I think it was mollusk who earlier wrote something to this effect too...and it IS correct.

This is going to be about TWO things:

1. A faster, leaner bike to ride for time when I want, that's not full race and still has some comfort....just not as much as my Klein has now.

2. An emotional attraction. BLING! I looked at the '07 Cannondale's on their site and well, no bells and whistles went off.

I'm hoping to be able to get the combo of a bike that fulfills the mechanical needs and ride-ability I want from it, while also making my heart skip a beat everytime I pull it out for a spin!
