LMAO! That's what happens to me, too... Never eat the first one!
I can't help with the hypnotherapy stuff - don't know much about it's success or failure, and haven't heard much either way. What has helped for me is having a good supply of microwave popcorn and trailmix bars at my desk. Every time someone brings in something evil and tasty like doughnuts or cake, I have a trailmix bar (very filling!) or a bag of popcorn instead. I end up feeling satisfied and have had my 'treat'.
It's all in how you view the snacks in your desk - are they poor substitutes for the real thing that you eat because you should, or tasty morsels in themselves that you enjoy eating!
