I put it off over and over for years since I was such a wuss, the wife was going to finally get her tubes tied 'cause she was tired of the hassle of the 'rubber glove' interruptions and worried about if one didn't work. We already had two great kids, and weren't planning on more. After I read about the major surgery required for a woman, along with the higher risk of complications, I did the right thing and went and saw the doc. One preliminary visit and exam, and a 60 minute outpatient surgery the next week. 45 minutes of the 60 was waiting for some anti-infection pills to kick in before they started. Two small incisions, and watched the whole thing on video. Kinda creepy, but I'm an engineer and find the strangest stuff fascinating. It was amusing when the totally hot nurse was prepping me and swabbing the boys down with iodine, I told her not to take it personal but for some strange reason having a good looking woman playing with me just wasn't very arousing at the moment .

As mentioned in my earlier email above, life got much more pleasant and spontaneous. And major wifey points for stepping up and getting it done ....

P.S. - If your doc doesn't do it anyway, make sure he puts on double clips. Don't want any problems if one loosens up down the road
