regarding the bike in the first post:
i don't know who built it or for who but it's definitely for breaking a paced speed record..
i don't know what attempt this bike is from but Jose Meiffret rode a very similar bike to a record at 109.2mph in 1951

i guess they flipd the fork around to get the bike as stable as they could at high speeds


regarding my fav bike:
often i get confused by people gushing over beautiful bikes at a distance without actually ggetting to see the workmanship and details up close...
but this is one of my most favorite bikes; it really has lines that speak from a distance:
