dl613: yeah, you really need to learn to pull your head up out of those drops a bit and enjoy the scenery a bit.
I certainly had my times when I had my head down putting out the speed, but also sat up a bit and took in the suroundings a bit as well. I don't know what my next organized ride will be. This weekend I may end up doing the 8am Sunday ride with PBA depending on what Saturday's weather holds.
