Some people have hands that tools just don't fit into. The safest thing for them to do is leave tools alone. My dad was like this. I told him; if you can't fix it with a crescent wrench, a screwdrivet or pliers, don't touch and call me. He never could figure out how both his sons turned put to be mechanically adept. He just marvelled at our ability to fix things. This keeps the mechanics in business. I do carry tools and fix stuff for people. I've met some very nice bicyclists that way. I also carry first aid stuff and freely give it out. You should too. bk
