I've done some ice sailing. The class of ice boat was the "DN" and let me tell you, those things FLY! ONe of those is definitely on my wish list, but the central spending authority (my wife) is not likely to approve of one of those soon.

As to riding across the lake, you know, I think that I will try it this winter. Provided, of course, the water freezes over enough. Last winter, the lake did not freeze except along the edges. Other winters, it's thick enough for cars to drive on.
