Personally, I wouldn't move just for that. It's far easier to just dump my panniers at home after the commute, grab a quick snack, and head out for an extra 50 or 60km after work. It also has the advantage of allowing me to choose exactly where I want to ride, without needing to be confined to the same route every day.
Heh...I've moved every other year, for the last six years. I've been at my current place for 10 months, and I'm moving at the end of this lease. I loathe the process, but I seem to be nomadic at heart. I've never moved to be farther from work, but I have moved to be allowed a pet (my blue and gold macaw)...
