I'm a card carrying member of the one-pant-leg-rolled-up club when I commute short distances but I do like the comfort of lycra on the long rides. I couldn't give a tinker's cuss if someone rides in their grandma's nightie, so long as I see people out there riding instead of driving I'm happy.
I just hope that guy sticks it out.... or that I'm there when he loses interest and decides to unload the bike for a song to make room in his garage.
