It is. Do a google for animal symbols. In native American cultures, as well as Celtic and others, animals "appear" in your life for a reason. The fox is often a symbol of cunning and camouflage, but I'm not aware of what the pelican might represent.
Most likely, you're doomed. But save room for pie!
