I have a new Giant Suede and I put the Giant Splendor 60 mm fender set on it. Looks great, but the lightweight fender stays wobble from side to side and cause the little plastic clips that hold the fender to rub the tire. This happens with both wheels (front is worse) and it happens unless the pavement is glassy smooth. The fenders are centered and all the mounting hardware is tight. I think basically the little clips need to be wider than the fender so that some play is possible. If I start Dremel-ing them they won't hold.

I'm thinking about riveting "wings" to the back of the fenders to put the clips on, forcing a wider spread for the fender stays. Maybe using the kind of springy rounded metal thingies that are used to hold the glass tight in a photo frame.

Advice, anyone?
