years ago i went looking for some sort of cheap pedal adaptors for my spds on my MTB and all three shops had these behind the counter but they also all told me that they are only for test rides and that they are considered disposable. Nashbar is definitely pushing the envelope by trying to sell these things. BTW i have seen them used many times and they tear up VERY quickly, like a few times in and out of the pedals.
