The City's working on sections in FDR Park, negotiating with the UN for access, and possibly the ramp for the temporary detour on the FDR will eventually become part of the Greenway.

The West Side section really is the city's premier bikeway. The only other path I know of that even comes close is the new Shore Greenway, in Brooklyn. But even that doesn't have the amenities you'll find on the West Side.
