Also, I have seen some really cool auxillary blinkies on some commuters....not tail lights...but helmet mounts and arm bands. Some with flashing white or blue lights....any idea where I can find these critters? Thanks.
When I am running my 20-watt halogen MR-16 light I use a 7.2 amp-hour SLA battery in my trunk bag on the rear rack. Most MR-16 bulbs come with a glass cover over the bulb and reflector and are waterproof. As for auxiliary blinkie lights, check out this site.

Give the page time to load as there are many lights shown on it. Yes they have blue, amber, white, green, as well as classic red blinkie's!
